Unifying OT and Video Streaming for Distributed Events

A Joint White Paper by ZeroTier and Active Security Modern mission environments demand secure, real-time visibility — no matter where your assets are deployed. Traditional VPNs and SD-WANs can’t always keep up with the speed, scalability, and resilience required for distributed video operations. In this white paper, Active Security and ZeroTier reveal how software-defined networking (SDN) enabled a flexible, secure, and high-performance solution for delivering real-time video streaming across global networks — including cellular, satellite, and fiber WANs. You’ll learn how this collaboration: Connected 50+ OT devices across multiple network types Delivered low-latency, high-quality video from distributed sites Strengthened end-to-end encryption and access control Eliminated hardware bottlenecks through ZeroTier’s SDN overlay Created a scalable framework for mission-critical operations Whether your focus is federal security, smart infrastructure, or remote operations, this white paper demonstrates how software-defined networks can unify complex environments — securely and efficiently. 📄 Download the White PaperComplete the form below to receive your copy of“Unifying OT and Video Streaming for Distributed Events with ZeroTier and Active Security.”   Active Security and ZeroTier White Paper RequestPlease enable JavaScript in your browser to complete this form. Please enable JavaScript in your browser to complete this form. Proven Protection: How Active Security Delivers Mission-Critical Security Solutions for Healthcare Organizations

The healthcare industry is evolving rapidly, and so is the need for advanced security infrastructure that protects patients, staff, and critical information. From bustling urban hospitals to secure military medical facilities, Active Security has consistently delivered tailored, high-impact electronic security systems for some of the most sensitive and demanding healthcare environments in the country. In this post, we highlight three standout projects that exemplify our healthcare expertise, showcasing how we solve complex security challenges with innovation, precision, and care. UMMS Medical Safety Observation Cart The University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) faced challenges typical of many modern healthcare organizations: high fall-risk patients, behavioral health monitoring needs, and staff safety concerns—all requiring a flexible, mobile, and intelligent monitoring solution. When no existing solution fit the bill, Active Security collaborated with First Products to develop the UMMS Medical Safety Observation Cart, a mobile, video-based safety platform. Featuring proactive surveillance cameras, real-time alerts, and remote observation tools, the cart integrates seamlessly with existing video management systems, EHRs, and telehealth platforms. This purpose-built solution reflects our ability to engineer new technologies that solve real-world clinical challenges, especially when off-the-shelf tools fall short. Walter Reed General Hospital Walter Reed is the world’s largest multi-service military medical center, covering 113 acres and handling over one million patient encounters annually. As a hub for advanced medical research, the hospital needed heightened security to protect its sensitive laboratory environments. Active Security installed an integrated electronic security system in the medical laboratories, including elite video surveillance and access control. The system was designed to protect sensitive information and ensure secure research environments, with intelligent alert protocols to notify appropriate personnel instantly during any security breach. By blending robust protection with operational efficiency, we helped Walter Reed uphold its dual mission of innovation and patient care. Augusta Military Medical Center Located at Fort Belvoir in Virginia, Augusta Military Medical Center (AMMC) spans 1.3 million square feet and provides world-class inpatient and specialty care. With a focus on service members and complex care patients, AMMC required a security solution aligned with military-grade expectations and strict healthcare regulations. Active Security delivered a comprehensive system that included over 300 network security cameras, a robust video management platform, and more than 60 access-controlled intercom stations.  The result was a HIPAA-compliant, real-time monitoring solution that ensures patient privacy while giving staff the tools to respond instantly to any security event. This project is a powerful example of how we design for both mission-critical protection and compassionate care. Healthcare security isn’t just about cameras and card readers, it’s about understanding the environment, anticipating threats, and creating seamless systems that support both safety and care delivery. At Active Security, we don’t just install systems, we build confidence. Whether you operate a government facility, academic medical center, or community hospital, our team brings the expertise to secure your environment from every angle.     [Complete the form below to download our full healthcare past performance document.]   Healthcare Past Performance RequestRequest to download Active Security Healthcare Past Performance DocumentPlease enable JavaScript in your browser to complete this form. Please enable JavaScript in your browser to complete this form. Strategic Opportunities Driven by the U.S. & UAE AI Campus Agreement

On May 15, 2025, President Donald Trump met with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss the strategic expansion of artificial intelligence infrastructure. As a result, the two nations signed an agreement to construct the largest AI campus outside the United States, one of several AI-focused initiatives launched during President Trump’s visit to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. This landmark agreement signals an exponential increase in AI technology, driving the demand for servers and high-performance processing chips, such as those manufactured by Nvidia. While this momentum is a positive development for both the UAE economy and global AI stakeholders, it has raised serious concerns around data security and geopolitical exposure, especially given the UAE’s relative proximity to countries like China. As nations and corporations alike focus on mitigating these risks, Active Security is uniquely positioned to support this expansion. Domestically, we’ve partnered with major data center operators to design, deploy, and standardize cutting-edge security systems, earning preferred vendor status with one of the largest organizations in the industry. Now, we’re extending our reach globally. Our team is already engaging with enterprise-level data center stakeholders in the GCC region, providing guidance on best-in-class security architecture that meets or exceeds regulatory industry standards. With our proven track record and deep technical expertise, Active Security stands ready to secure the next generation of AI infrastructure, ensuring the safety of sensitive data in an increasingly complex geopolitical landscape.
